しかし、バールベックのジュピター神殿にある100トンを超える石材や、トラヤヌス柱の53トン以上の頂部ブロックなどの遺構は、当時のローマ人が単一のクレーンを遥かに超える高度な揚重システムを運用していたことを示唆しています。

中世から近世への展開

安全基準と設計寿命
